Stolen Brands: The NeuroBrand Identity Lab Uses Brain Science

I need to real talk. I’m so disappointed. This is the type of thing I would usually say to someone else ‘that’s how you know you’re good’.. I would be wrong. I’ve got a faux Brandologist. There’s others around & it’s never bothered me before. This one is different. Because it’s not just the name, logo & style, not just the google ranking, it’s my whole personality. MINE, not just my brand’s. It has taken me so long to show up as me, so seeing someone else literally copy and paste stings.

I recently Googled myself (because obviously), and was weirded out when I saw the newest results.

I have an identical twin out there who is using all the keywords, a domain annoyingly intrusive on my ranking (.com.au has let me down), that is claiming to be THE Brandologist - a psychology-driven brand consultant.

I've been trading under The Brandologist since 2021, after launching quietly in 2020. I have the receipts, don't worry.

Prior to that I was Edwards Creative, cause you know... That's my name. My biz has been registered since 2013.

I've spent a long time building my personal brand into something that is actually ME, and that does well for itself.

It hasn't exactly been easy finding my 'professional' voice or brand identity, but I finally did it!

Then, literally one month later, it was stolen (I have actual Heatmap recordings of the exact time, day, everything).

A few little similarities? Ok. I've seen plenty of other Brandologist's pop in and out of my Google space, but this is the textbook definition of stolen intellectual property, breach of copyright, and honestly just embarrassing behaviour.

As psychology driven strategists, we know right from wrong, right? Apparently wrong.

The neuroscience and behavioural psychology behind the whole thing is genuinely confusing when the claims are from"a psychology-driven brand consultant and web designer helping small businesses".

"We get clear on who you are, who you're for, and how to own your corner of the market. Think brain science meets brand therapy."

This is copy and paste direct from the source. Do as you say, not as you do?

Is this a petty post?

You bet. I've got a whole campaign strategy ready to implement as soon as I have the time. I absolutely AM hoping this pops up in her search results. I've used plenty of keywords and SEO tricks 😉
